Welcome to ’52 People: Connecting with Life Through Strangers.’ I’ll be your podcast host, Jayson Krause.
Fifteen years ago, I set out to meet a new stranger every week for a year. 52 weeks, 52 individuals, 52 profound stories. In a world of electronic relationships, how willing would someone be to answer personal questions from a complete stranger?
Each episode of the podcast will dig deeper into these encounters and reveal the surprises and the lessons I learned through a yearlong journey in the search for meaningful connection.
I’ll be joined by my brother Darren and my sister, Tamara and we’ll dive into these stories and we’ll explore everything from vulnerability, joy, fear, and how we are all simply trying to unravel the mystery of the human experience. We’ll dissect what it means to really know someone, and the impact of digging beneath the surface.
This podcast is more than just a collection of stories. It’s a testament to the power of connection, to the surprising depths that can be found in conversations with strangers, and to the healing that comes from understanding and being understood.
It’s a journey for us and we hope you want to come along for the ride. Hopefully, it stirs something inside you to reach out to the people you care about, so they’re no longer strangers in your life. Enjoy!
